Saint Joseph's Teachers' College


St. Joseph's Teachers' College is a Roman Catholic teacher training college in Kingston, Jamaica. It was founded in 1897 by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany a religious order for women in the Roman Catholic Church in Jamaica.
Over the years, the institution has undergone development and expansion both physically and in its academic programmes.

Diploma programmes

The College is a member of the Joint Board of Teacher Education and offers two Joint Board Programmes:
The College also offers a bachelor's degree Programme in School Leadership & Management for Principals, Vice Principals, Senior Teachers and Trained teachers.
A B.Ed. in Primary Education is also, offered part-time over a five-years period in collaboration with Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
This institution also consists of Dormitories where students from far parish can board.
Similarly, a Master of Education in Primary Education is offered part-time over two years in collaboration with Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
