Roxas Airport
Roxas Airport is an airport serving the general area of Roxas City, the capital of the province of Capiz, in the Philippines. The airport is classified as a Class 1 principal airport, by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, a body of the Department of Transportation that is responsible for the operations of not only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines except the major international airports.
From October 13 to 16, 2017, Roxas Airport served as the diversion airport for affected Cebu Pacific flights serving the Manila-Iloilo-Manila and Iloilo-Cebu-Iloilo routes following the closure of Iloilo International Airport due to the Cebu Pacific Flight 461 overshooting incident. Mactan-Cebu International Airport became the diversion airport for the Iloilo-Hong Kong-Iloilo flights.
