Robert Thurburn
Robert Thurburn was an English banker who served as manager of the Bank of London and Río de la Plata.
Born Robert Augustus Thurburn in London, United Kingdom, son of James Thurburn, member of the Royal Navy, and Margaret White. Towards the end of 1870, he arrived in Buenos Aires to take charge of the management of the Bank of London and Río de la Plata, and possibly returned to his native country in the 1910s. He was registered with his children, in the National Census of 1895, as a resident of the city of Buenos Aires.
