Reinhold Kubik
Reinhold Kubik is an Austrian musicologist, pianist and conductor.
Born in Vienna, during his professional career Kubik worked from 1966 to 1974 as Kapellmeister at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Duisburg as well as in many other European cities. He was also pianist, composer, choir director and lecturer. Kubik was editor-in-chief of the Hänssler Verlag in Stuttgart. He taught at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, in Nuremberg, Karlsruhe and London and became professor at Yale University in 1987.
