R544 (South Africa)
The R544 is a Regional Route in South Africa. It connects Bethal with Witbank and ends north of Thembisile, Mpumalanga.Its begins southern terminus at an intersection with the R35, north of Bethal. It then intersects at a four-way intersection with the R547. Turning right, the R544 heads north-east crossing the Olifants River before it intersects with the western terminus of the R542 and later on it intersects with the western terminus of the R575. It crosses under the N12 and heads into the southern suburbs of Witbank as Watermeyer Street. It then crosses under the N4 highway where it is co-signed with the intersecting R555. The road leaves Witbank in a north-westerly direction before heading north and eventually crossing the Wilger River. Then heading north-west it crosses the R25 at Verena. The roads northern terminus is reached as it ends at the R573 between KwaMhlanga and Siyabuswa in Mpumalanga.
