Quepos La Managua Airport


La Managua Airport is an airport approximately east of the Pacific coastal city of Quepos, Costa Rica, serving this city as well as the Manuel Antonio National Park and other tourist attractions in the central part of Puntarenas Province. The airport is named for the La Managua barrio where the it is located. The airport is owned and managed by the country's Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
There is distant mountainous terrain north through northeast of the runway.
The Parrita non-directional beacon is located west-northwest of the airport. The El Coco VOR-DME is located north of the airport.

Manuel Antonio National Park

Quepos is only north of Manuel Antonio National Park, which has four beaches, of hiking trails, and much wildlife.

Fishing

Fishing is the second-most popular activity in Quepos behind the national park, and there are over 100 sport fishing boats available to anglers.

White Water Rafting

Another popular activity in Quepos is white water rafting. From December to April, it is a leisurely trip on a raft through the mountains in pristine rivers. From May to November, Quepos has several tours which go through stage III to stage V rapids.

La Managua Airport is the fourth-busiest in the country by passenger traffic and the second-busiest domestic-only airport after Puerto Jiménez Airport.
