Punjab Police CollegeSihala is the premier training institution of the Punjab Police in Sihala, Pakistan. The police college sihala established in 1959 to providing the training to all the police officials of all ranks. Sihala is the oldest and largest training college of police in Pakistan.

Since its inception, Police College Sihala has been working with the mission to enhance the capacity of police and law enforcement officers. The course imparts quality training and skills needed in combating crime and other emerging law enforcement challenges effectively and efficiently. The College endeavours to inculcate in trainees values, such as, integrity, respect for human, dignity, rules of law, high standards of professionalism and public service. Considering the importance of effective training in the light of modern day policing challenges, Police College Sihala has implemented an immersive training regime for improving and modernizing the prevalent Police Training. The college has also started Continuous Professional Development Programme, which envisages the development of essential professional skills and responsible ethical behavior that engenders trust and fosters leadership. This programme focuses on producing results by evolving and adapting the training continuously in accordance with field requirements. Investigation Skills, Legal Studies, Counter-Terrorism, Security and Intelligence, Media Management, Handling of Vulnerable Groups of Society, International Human Rights, Character Building and Islamic Ethics, from the core subject modules of the training courses at Sihala.
History
In the pre-independence period, Police Officers of the Punjab used to receive training at Police Training School, Phillaur. Later in the post-independence era, Police Training School Sargodha took over the training responsibility, and provided training for almost 11 years. Subsequently, in 1959 the Police Training School was shifted to Sihala. In 1975 the school was upgraded as Punjab Police College Sihala. The first 04 batches of Probationer ASPs from Common Training Programme also received their specialized training at this College starting in 1975. Moreover, the directly inducted DIGs and SSPs from armed forces were also trained during this period at Sihala. In 2001, the college was re-organized and divided into 03 Campuses i.e Campus-I meant for In-Service Courses, Campus-II for Pre-Service and Campus-III for allied training facilities. The college prides itself for training officials from national and international law enforcement agencies. National organizations include Punjab Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Sindh Police, Balochistan Police, Azad Jammu & Kashmir Police, Gilgit-Baltistan Police, Railway Police, Islamabad Police, National Highways & Motorway Police, Anti-Narcotics Force, Federal Investigation Agency, National Accountability Bureau. Police officers from Zimbabwe, Palestine, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Maldives, and Afghanistan have also been trained in the college from time to time. More than 93,000 police officers from the rank of Constable to Superintendent of Police, have been trained so far at this training institute.
