Scholarship
. He eventually
earned
a
doctorate in Divinity
He held
incumbencies

Castletown, Sunderland
and at
Milfield
before being
ordained
to the
episcopate
in
1892
as
Bishop of Guyana
.
Translated
to
Barbados and the Windward Islands
in 1900, he
died
in
post
.
Swaby was a
Fellow
of the
Colonial Institute
and the
Royal Microscopical Society
.
