Poplar Linens


Poplar Linens is an Irish textile company that produces fabric and interior products. Its retail partners include Tesco and John Lewis. Poplar Linens manufactures cloth products featuring brands such as PAW Patrol and Mrs. Brown's Boys. The company is directed by Ben Walsh, Sean Walsh, Liam Walsh and Colm Walsh, who also became the co-owners of Great Southern Hotels in 2006.
In April 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Poplar Linens began selling personal protective equipment through their website for the first time.

History

Poplar Linens was founded as the "Handkerchief Factory." The company is documented as the largest Irish manufacturer of linen tea towels by the Clew Bay Heritage Centre. In January 2002, Poplar Linens became one of the licensees for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, producing bed linen, towels and flags for the event.
