Philippe Buc
Philippe Buc is a historian concentrating religion and politics, mainly in the European Middle Ages. He has been a Professor at Stanford University since 1990. He is now working on Christian violence and cultures of violence shaped by Christianity. Buc's book, The Dangers of Ritual, garnered a lot of attention from early medieval historians for its commentary on the subject of ritual.
