People and Places (song)

"People and Places" is a song written by Philip Bailey, Roxanne Seeman and Eric Levi. It is the end-credit song for the #1 French box office film La Vengeance d'une Blonde starring Christian Clavier and Marie-Anne Chazel. It was recorded as a duet between Dee Dee Bridgewater and Philip Bailey, released as a single and club mix version. "People and Places" appears on the soundtrack album three times as single mix, club mix, and instrumental version.

Background

Eric Levi, French composer and rock artist, met Roxanne Seeman in Paris at the Warner/Chappell Music France office. While working on his score for La Vengeance d'une Blonde Levi sent Seeman a tape with a track idea for a song, asking whether she would like to collaborate on it with him. Seeman played it for Philip Bailey, whom she was collaborating with. Levi suggested they write the song for the end-credit song of the movie he was scoring. Roxanne Seeman, Philip Bailey and Eric Levi collaborated on the writing and recording of the song.
