. It flows generally northwest from the
northern
slopes
of
Mount Hooker
,
reaching
the
Paringa River
20 kilometres
south
of
Bruce Bay
.
The
New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage
gives a
translation
of "place of the staff" for
Ōtoko
.
