Olive-backed quail-dove


The olive-backed quail-dove is a species of bird in the family Columbidae. It is the only species in the genus Leptotrygon.
It is found in Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Panama. Its natural habitat is lowland tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests.
The olive-backed quail-dove feeds on seeds, small fruits and small invertebrates. The quail-dove is typically encountered alone or in pairs. It prefers to walk or run when fleeing from danger, but will sometimes flush short distances if disturbed.
