Career

Berger began her career as a model when she was five, working for brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Swarovski, and Toys R Us. Nicole began taking violin and piano lessons when she was in kindergarten. Nicole soon discovered her passion for acting and made her acting debut in Goldberg P.I., at age six.
In 2014, Nicole was cast as Beatrice in The Longest Week, a comedy-drama starring Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde, where she portrayed Olivia's character as a young child. Nicole also worked on Prescient, a sci-fi thriller about a geneticist, played by Michael Piccirilli, hunting for a gene that causes him to have visions of peoples' impending death. Prescient was released in 2015.
Also in 2015, her piano skills helped her land the role of Grace Clarke in the film All At Once. In the film, Grace is a piano prodigy who is taken in by a family friend, played by Jon Abrahams, after her parents are killed in the Twin Towers in New York on 9/11. In the film, Berger played the classical piano parts herself and was quoted saying it was "one of the best parts" of filming the movie. All At Once debuted at the Napa Valley Film Festival in 2016 and was shown again at the 2016 Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival. The film was released to DVD and streaming in 2018.
Berger was cast in multiple movies between 2017 and 2020. In 2017, she was cast in the crime drama Clover, directed by Jon Abrahams. In the film, Berger plays the titular character who kills a man and goes on the run with the Callaghan brothers. The film opened in April 2020. According to Berger, while working together on Clover, Mark Webber offered her the opportunity to play the guardian angel, Esmeralda, in his upcoming film, The Place Of No Words. The film attempts to answer the question "where do we go when we die?" after it is posed by a three-year-old, played by Webber's son Bodhi, whose father is diagnosed with cancer. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2019.
In July 2018, Berger was cast as Cecily, the lead female, in the indie thriller, Runt, where she starred opposite the late Cameron Boyce. The film follows Cal, Cameron Boyce's character, as he deals with difficult experiences that make him a callous person. Berger's character, Cecily, befriends Cal and helps him navigate life decisions. Cecily is sexually assaulted by a football player in the film, and Berger worked with her acting coach, Susan Batson, to portray the scene authentically. The film premiered at the Mammoth Film Festival in February 2020, and its official release is set for late 2020.
Also in 2018, Berger worked on the independent reality film, Ali's Realm, where she plays Ali, a young woman who witnesses her friend Charles die and then befriends Charlie, an imaginary character who appears as a 7' tall alien. Ali's Realm was chosen for the 2020 New York Film Festival.
In May 2019, Berger filmed a short film titled Five Teenagers Walk Into A Bar.
