Navjit Buttar


Navjit Buttar is an Indian Punjabi video director best known for co-founding Virsa Arts. He works extensively with Diljit Dosanjh, Sonu Kakkar, Ammy Virk, Sharry Mann, Hardy Sandhu, Jaz Dhami, and Jassi Gill.

Life and career

Early Work

Buttar in 2011 started a music video production company named Virsa Arts with Arvindr Khaira. Virsa Arts directed and produced many hit music videos in four years. Its first popular and award-winning music video was "Soch", which was sung by Harrdy Sandhu. Some of the popular music videos directed and produced by Navjit Buttar under Virsa Arts are Soch, Joker, Patiala Peg, Saare Wali Girl, Vich Pardesaan

2015– present

In January 2015 Navjit alluded to the potential of a solo career. His last video under Virsa Arts was Ammy Virk’s music video titled ‘Taara’, which was released on 27 January 2015 by Sony Music India. After this Navjit Buttar started working solo. He produced & directed numerous music videos. In 2018 he won the ‘PTC Best Music Video Award’ for his directed music video titled ‘Turbanator’. In 2019 ‘BritAsia Music Awards’ awarded him as the best music video director.
