National Bushfire Recovery Agency

The National Bushfire Recovery Agency is an Australian government agency established to help those affected by bushfires. The agency's creation was announced by Scott Morrison, the Prime Minister of Australia on 5 January 2020 during the 2019–20 bushfire season and following some of the worst effects of the fires during that season. It is set to run for two years, funded with $2 billion. The agency is intended to provide help and support to people who have lost their homes and businesses as a result of the fires. The agency is headed by Andrew Colvin, a former Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police.
