The mountain is located in the provinces of Genoa and Alessandria. Is divided by Passo Mezzano from Monte Taccone and by Passo della Dagliola and a saddle near Cascina Carrosina from Monte Tobbio.Monte delle Figne is accessible by signposted traks departing from Bocchetta Pass or Isoverde.
The Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, a long-distance trail from Ventimiglia to Bolano, passes very close to the mountain's summit.Nature conservation
North-western slopes of the mountain are included in the Capanne di Marcarolo Piedmontese natural park.
