rocky
island
off the
coast
of
Antarctica
,
lying
immediately
south
of
La Conchée
and
northeast
of
Cape Mousse
. It was charted in
1951
by the
French Antarctic Expedition
and named after
French
mathematician
Gaspard Monge
.
