Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof


Mohd Redzuan bin Md Yusof is a Malaysian politician currently serving as Minister in the Prime Minister's Department for Special Functions in the Perikatan Nasional administration under Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin since March 2020. He has been the Member of Parliament for Alor Gajah since May 2018. He was also the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Co-operative in the Pakatan Harapan administration under Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from July 2018 to its implosion in February 2020. Redzuan is a member from the Malaysian United Indigenous Party or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, a component party of Perikatan Nasional coalition and formerly in Pakatan Harapan coalition.

Career

Mohd Redzuan worked for an American company based in Malaysia for 8 years. He joined Petronas in 1999 and worked there for 3 years. After that, he started his own business.
He contested and succeeded in winning the Alor Gajah parliamentary seat as a BERSATU candidate in the 2018 general election. Following this, he was appointed as the Minister of Entrepreneur Development in the seventh Mahathir Mohamed's cabinet on 2 July 2018 in the presence of the Yang di Pertuan Agong.
