Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development (Serbia)


The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia is the ministry in the Government of Serbia which is in the charge of person in charge of education, science and technological development. The current minister is Mladen Šarčević, in office since 11 August 2016.

History

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development was established on 11 February 1991.
From 2001 to 2007, the Ministry of Youth and Sports was merged into the Ministry of Education. It was later split from the Ministry and reestablished. Also, the Ministry of Science, which existed from 1991 to 2011, merged into the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.
