Military Collegiate School Khulna


Military Collegiate School Khulna is a residential educational institution in Phultala Upazila, Khulna District, Bangladesh, which is supervised by the area commander for Jessore. The institution follows the syllabus of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Jessore. The national curriculum in English version is followed. The curriculum is designed so each cadet is groomed as a good all-rounder in the fields of education, games and sports with leadership skills. The institution accepts cadets from all over the country.

Location

MCSK is situated approximately north west of Jahanabad Cantonment, Khulna and about south west from Phultala. It is an English version school and college for both boys and girls.

History

Boys' wing

MCSK started on 5 January 2002 with 50 students in class VIII and presently 513 students are studying from class VII to XII.

Girls' wing

MCSK has brought up the chance for the girls of Bangladesh to study in its campus. With this objective, MCSK girls wing started in 2013 with 108 students of class VII and IX.
The number of present students is 668.

Governance

MCSK's governing body is chaired by the General Officer Commanding, 55th Infantry Division and Area Commander, Jessore Area. The governing body lays down board policies for day-to-day administration of the school and approve required financial policies for the accomplishment of the school objective.

Co-curricular activities

Co- and extracurricular activities have been included with a view to grooming an individual as a good all-rounder. The following co- and extra-curricular activities are available:

National-level achievement

MCSK participates in National Parliamentary Debate, Astro-Olympiad, Math-Olympiad, and Science-Olympiad. It was champion in the National Parliamentary debate in 2008. It has also noteworthy achievements in other competitions held at the national level.

International-level achievement

It also participates in international level competition. The students of this institution has also stepped their foot abroad for their excellent performance.
