Dr. Ambedkar Nagar–Sanawad Passenger


Dr. Ambedkar Nagar - Sanawad Passenger is a metre-gauge passenger train of the Indian Railways, which runs between Dr. Ambedkar Nagar railway station in Madhya Pradesh and Sanawad railway station in Madhya Pradesh. It is being operated with 52963/52964, 52975/52976, 52973/5297 train numbers, which runs three times in a day.
This is the last surviving metre-gauge train of the Akola–Ratlam line. Once its tracks are finished as board-gauge tracks, they will provide connectivity between Indore and Southern Indian states.

Coach composite

The train consist of 4 coaches :
Both trains are hauled by a Mhow Loco Shed based YDM-4 diesel locomotive from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to Sanawad and vice versa. Banker locomotive is attached from Kalakund to Patalpani due to steep incline.
