Metro Aragón


Aragón is a station of the Mexico City Metro in Gustavo A. Madero and Venustiano Carranza, Mexico City. It is a surface station with 1 island platform, served by , between Eduardo Molina and Oceanía stations. Aragón station serves the colonias Casas Alemán and Simón Bolívar. The station is named after the San Juan de Aragón Forest, and its pictogram represents the silhouette of a squirrel. Aragón station was opened on 1981, on the first day of the Consulado–Pantitlán service.

Location

Aragón is a metro station located on Río Consulado Avenue, northeastern Mexico City. The station serves the colonias Casas Alemán, in Gustavo A. Madero, and Simón Bolívar, in Venustiano Carranza. Within the system, the station lies between Eduardo Molina and Oceanía.

Exits

of Mexico City Metro was built by Grupo ICA, and its first section was opened on, operating from Pantitlán to Consulado stations. The Aragón–Oceanía interstation track has a slope caused by subsidence. Aragón is located at the street level; the station's pictogram represents a squirrel, and the station is named after the San Juan de Aragón Park, a public park and zoo in Gustavo A. Madero, because it was the closest to the park when the station was built.
