Meme McDonald - Australian children's author and theatre director. She was born on July 19, 1954 in St George and died on December 23, 2017 in Spring Hill. She graduated from the University of Melbourne, the University of Queensland. She was awarded the Children's Book of the Year Award: Younger Readers.
