A fictional window into the bizarrely funny and frustrated marriage between Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont. The comedy series sees stand-up comedians Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont each play exaggerated versions of their real-life selves as viewers get to glimpse into their home and work lives, surrounded by their celebrity friends and their local Hebden Bridge neighbours. Meet the Richardsons shows what their neighbours really think of the couple, the type of birthday party they should have for their young daughter Elsie, caravan holidays and Jon's constant refusal to do or go to anything work related or otherwise, much to Lucy's increasing annoyance.

127 February 2020 Lucy wants Jon to appear on All Star Mr And Mrs playing against Rob Beckett. Jon's still annoyed that Beckett replaced him on 8 Out of 10 Cats and doesn't want to take part if Rob's involved. To celebrate the Richardsons' move to Hebden Bridge, Lucy stages a huge birthday party for daughter Elsie. Jon is against the party but is finally convinced to take part by a family friend: the all-round entertainer and comedy legend Bernie Clifton. 5 March 2020 Jon appears on Countdown with his comedy hero Jack Dee, who gives him some career advice. Lucy secretly signs Jon up to be the celebrity judge at the WorldDock Pudding Competition in Hebden Bridge. And Jon's not happy when he finds out. But it's Lucy who is really annoyed when she finds evidence that Jon is having a celebrity affair with an 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown co-star. 12 March 2020 Lucy goes out on the town in London with TV's Alan Carr. It gets very messy. Back in Hebden Bridge, Jon has a boy's night out with comedian and best friendMatt Forde. Lucy says that Jon can't relax without using alcohol. So, Lucy makes him take a yoga lesson for the first time ever. It doesn't go well. And Jon takes his revenge on a bad driver by posting a poison pen letter. 19 March 2020 The Richardsons finally get to attend the showbiz event of the year: the Jonathan Ross Halloween party. Lucy's excited, especially when she meets Jason Donovan at the party, but she's not as excited as Jon who has an audition to be a voice in a Pixar film - his lifelong dream. 526 March 2020 Chris Kamara invites Jon to take part in a Leeds United fundraiser for deprived children. Jon's against celebrity endorsement, but the Leeds connection makes him agree to do it. While he's away, Lucy tries to enrol Elsie in a private school - against Jon's wishes. 2 April 2020 Lucy remembers the time she was in an episode of Doctors acting alongside Fleabag star Phoebe Waller Bridge. Jon's never seen the footage. Until now. Lucy's sitcom with Car Share co-creator Tim Reid is ready for a BBC run-through with Johnny Vegas as one of its stars. Jon hates the script, but everyone else disagrees. Johnny Vegas reckons that Jon's catchphrase 'Save it for bingo' will be bigger than his catchphrase 'monkey'. Jon's not that bothered, because his Pixar film role is almost in the bag.
