Mayor of Nutley, New Jersey
was incorporated on February 18, 1874 as Franklin Township and was reincorporated on March 5, 1902 as Nutley. It has operated a Commission form of government under the Walsh Act since 1912. Each of the five commissioners is elected on a nonpartisan basis to serve four-year concurrent terms. The commissioners also serve as department heads in addition to their legislative functions.
