Mackinac County Airport


Mackinac County Airport is a county-owned public-use airport in Mackinac County, Michigan, United States. It is located northwest of the central business district of St. Ignace. It is the closest airport to Mackinac Island Airport with a refueling station and is a major stopover destination for flights to and from Mackinac Island that require refueling. The airport is included in the Federal Aviation Administration National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility.

Facilities and aircraft

Mackinac County Airport covers an area of at an elevation of above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 7/25 with a concrete surface measuring.
For the 12-month period ending December 31, 2015, the airport had 33,050 aircraft operations, an average of 90 per day: 55% general aviation, 45% air taxi and less than 1% military. In March 2017, there were 16 aircraft based at this airport: 13 single-engine and 3 multi-engine.
