Mírov
Mírov is a village and municipality in Šumperk District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of, and has a population of 419.
Mírov lies approximately south-west of Šumperk, north-west of Olomouc, and east of Prague.
The maximum security Mírov Prison is located in an old castle above the village. Famous inmates held there include a controvert ethnic Hungarian politician János Esterházy, and Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic 1944–45 Štefan Tiso.
