Low Key Arts
Low Key Arts is an art space and music venue located in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The venue opened in 2005. The executive director of the venue is Bill Solleder.
Low Key Arts is a 501c3 non profit public charity. With the help of sponsors and volunteers, Low Key Arts has been producing exhibitions, poetry sessions, concerts, theatricals, musicals, community events and independent music and art events in the small town of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. Yearly two music festivals are organised at the Low Key Arts, the Valley of the Vapors Independent Music Festival in the spring and Hot Water Hills in the autumn.
Support for Low Key Arts and The Valley of the Vapors Independent Music Festival is provided, in part, by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
VOV focuses primarily on indie rock and has a line-up consisting of national and international touring acts, such as Parts and Labor, Japanther, A Place To Bury Strangers, Pterodactyl, TV Buddhas, American Pinup, Cloud Nothings, The Black Belles, Galaxy Express, Fenster, Pond, R. Ring. The festival also runs a series of workshops and lectures hosted for instance by Death By Audio, Kelley Deal and Yuri Landman. The VOV also holds shows throughout the year. In seven years, The VOV hosted nearly 1500 internationally touring artists. The 8th Annual VOV was held on March 18–24, 2012.
