List of largest ferries of Europe
In terms of gross tonnage, the largest ferry serving ports in Europe is the 75,156-ton Color Magic, built by Aker Finnyards of Finland, and operated by Color Line on the route between Norway and Germany. Its sister ship Color Fantasy comes a close second in tonnage. A greater length - 240m - is attained by several ships of the Stena Line. The Tanit, plying between Tunisia and southern Europe, is claimed to carry the most passengers. Finally, the fastest European ferries over 30,000 tons attain a speed of 30 knots: these are two ships run by Minoan Lines, serving Greece and Italy.
