Slovenia	2020	Ljubljana	IKEA has signed an agreement to open its first store in Ljubljana with the size of 35,000 m2 and costs about €80 million. The Ljubljana City Administration expects the construction of the IKEA department store in the capital of Slovenia to begin next year. According to the plans, IKEA Ljubljana should be around the same size as the shopping centers in Zagreb and Belgrade. It will take up around 31,000 m2 of BTC City, have 800 employees, around 9,500 products and 1,000 parking spaces.
Ukraine	2020	Kiev	In 2009, IKEA bought an area of land in Odessa on which to build a store. A year later IKEA cancelled the store, saying there was not a strong enough market. The economy minister of Ukraine stated that it should be opened to help fight the perception of corruption. In September 2018, IKEA announced their intention to open a store in Ukraine up to the end of 2019 in Ocean Mall in Kyiv with their new concept city store. In December 2019, IKEA once again postponed the opening of the first store in Ukraine until Spring 2020 after the company will have launched E-commerce.
