Lionel Birnie
Lionel Birnie is a British sports journalist. He is a co-host, with Richard Moore and Daniel Friebe of the Cycling Podcast. In 2017 iNews listed their podcast among the best podcasts of 2017. In 2018 the trio published a book based on their podcasts.
In 2009 Velo News published an interview Birnie conducted with David Brailsford, the Principal of Team Sky. Much of the interview concerned the repercussions of the Lance Armstrong scandal, and whether British cyclists engaged in drug doping.
Birnie is the author or co-author of several other books on cycling.
