Lemniscus (anatomy)
A
lemniscus
is a
bundle
of
secondary
sensory fibers
in the
brainstem
. The
medial lemniscus
and
lateral lemniscus
terminate
in
specific
relay
nuclei
of the
diencephalon
. The
trigeminal lemniscus
is sometimes considered as the
cephalic
part of the
medial
lemniscus.
