Larisa Akrofie


Larisa Akrofie, née Bowen-Dodoo, is the founder of Levers in Heels, Africa's leading digital platform highlighting rising African women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Education

Larisa attended Achimota School for her secondary education. She is an alumna of the University of Ghana where she received her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering.

Career

Larisa's work with Levers in Heels has achieved international acclaim with over 100 African women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics highlighted. The platform aims to inspire and empower the next generation of African female STEM leaders.
Larisa also has a demonstrated history of implementing and managing a portfolio of projects, programs and partnerships in the areas of skills and enterprise, and has worked with international organisations such as the British Council. She was listed as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Young Ghanaian in 2018.
