Kulala


Kulala is a caste of India.
The Kulala community is found primarily in the Kasaragod district of Kerala state in India.

where they have several exogamous gotras, including Banjan, Banjera, Salian and Upian. They speak the Tulu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Another Kulala community exists in Andhra Pradesh, where they speak the Telugu language and are also known as Kummara and variants of that name, such as Kumbara and Kummari.

The traditional occupation of Kulala people is making pottery, although in the present day their occupations also include government service and wage-labour.. Despite this, they held the respect of other communities and their product was an essential item.
They belongs to other backward class.
