Korean League Cup
The Korean League Cup was a South Korean professional football competition. The competition was firstly played in 1992 and was abolished after the 2012 season. The predecessor competition, the Professional Football Championship, was played in 1986.
Names
From 1992 to 2011, the League Cup had been named after its sponsor, giving it the following names:- Adidas Cup, sponsored by Adidas
- Samsung Hauzen Cup, sponsored by Samsung Electronics
- Peace Cup Korea, sponsored by the Peace Cup Organizing Committee
- Posco Cup, sponsored by POSCO
- Rush & Cash Cup, sponsored by A&P Financial
- Prospecs Cup, sponsored by the LS Networks Company
- Phillip Morris Korea Cup, sponsored by the Phillip Morris Korea
- Daehanhwajae Cup, sponsored by the now Lotte Insurance
