Kirovske, Donetsk Oblast
Kirovske or Khrestivka is a city of oblast significance in Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine. Population: ; 30,910.
On 14 April 2014 pro-Russian activists captured Kirovske's town hall and declared that the city was part of the separatist Donetsk People's Republic. Since then the city stayed under separatist control.
In 2016 the city was renamed Khrestivka as part of decommunization in Ukraine. The city's name change process is temporarily suspended as it is not controlled by the government of Ukraine.Demographics
