Khansar County


Khansar County is a county in Isfahan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Khansar. At the 2011 census, the county's population was 32,423. The county has one district: the Central District. The county has one city: Khansar.

Geography

Khansar is a mountainous county about 2300 meters above sea level. Its area is 900 km², and it includes 18 villages in 3 rural districts and one central city. This city is located to the north-west of Isfahan, to the east is Golpayegan, and to the south-west it is within the limits of Faridan. It is situated on both sides of a narrow valley through which the Khunsar River, some 4 metres wide at this point, flows in a north-easterly direction to Qom. The city and its gardens and orchards straggle some 10 km along the valley which has a mean breadth of scarcely 1 kilometre. Khansar is a small county with a population of 32,423. It is situated in a green valley. Being snowy in winter and mild in summer, it enjoys many natural sights. It is a religious city and has good weather.
