Kempinski Hotel Falkenstein
Kempinski Hotel Falkenstein is a luxurious hotel in Königstein im Taunus, Germany. It was owned by Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1909 as a sanatorium for officers. Since 1999 it has belonged to the chain Kempinski.
The building was opened in 1875. It was a sanatorium from 1875 to 1976 and also served as a hospital, military sanatorium and hospital for invalids before being closed in 1991. On 9 September 1999 it re-opened as a Kempinski hotel with 106 rooms. In 2001 The German Hotel and Restaurant Association awarded the hotel five stars.
