Kames, Argyll
Kames is a small village on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.
Between 1839 and 1921 the village was involved in the processing and transit of gunpowder. The artist Hamilton Macallum was born in Kames.
Kames is connected to Tighnabruaich and has a post office, church, police station and hotel. The grocery store, has been relaunched as the Kames Village Store under new management in late 2016.
