John Giannandrea
John Giannandrea is a Scottish software engineer known for creating Metaweb and Freebase and leading Google Search and artificial intelligence before joining Apple Inc. as a senior executive. In December 2018, it was announced that Giannandrea had been appointed senior vice president of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Strategy at Apple.
He was formerly CTO of the speech recognition company Tellme Networks, which he co-founded, Chief Technologist of the web browser group at Netscape and a senior engineer at General Magic.
