Joe Grace (baseball)
Joseph LaVerne "Joe" Grace was a professional baseball outfielder who played in Major League Baseball for the St. Louis Browns and the Washington Senators. He played 6 seasons in MLB between 1938 and 1947. He served in the US Navy from 1942-45. He posted a.283 batting average with 20 home runs and 172 RBI in 484 games played. His best season was in 1941 with the St. Louis Browns, batting.309 with 6 home runs and 60 RBI. Grace died in an automobile accident at the age of 55.
