Jeffrey Chapman (lawyer)
Jeffrey Chapman is an American lawyer and Co-Chair of the Global Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group at law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is known for his work in mergers and acquisitions and is the only attorney in Texas rated as a Star Individual by Chambers and Partners. His move from Vinson & Elkins to Gibson Dunn was noted as one of the 20 most significant lateral moves in the American legal industry in 2011 by The American Lawyer. He is also a co-author of the LexisNexis M&A Practice Guide. He is a 1983 graduate of Harvard Law School and a 1979 graduate of the University of Iowa, where he has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. Chapman also serves as Chair of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center President's Advisory Board.
