Jeff Symonds


Jeffrey Bruce Symonds is a Canadian professional triathlete. He took third-place in the 2011 Ironman 70.3 World Championship. Symonds' performance made him the first Canadian male and the second man in his twenties to record a podium finish at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. Symonds won the 2015 Ironman Asia-Pacific Championship in Melbourne, and the 2013 and 2014 Challenge Penticton triathlons.

Career

Symonds was raised in Penticton, British Columbia, but did not start participating in triathlons until he was 20. Prior to this, he was a runner for the University of British Columbia in college, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in commerce, with a concentration in marketing.
