Robertson was drafted 39th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. On May 3, 2018, he signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Stars. On February 13, 2020, Robertson was called up to the Stars and made his NHL debut that night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, picking up an assist in the game.Personal life
