Jack Tucker
Jack Robert Tucker is an English professional footballer who plays for Gillingham, as a defender.Career
Tucker joined Gillingham's youth set up as a seven-year old from his hometown club Whitstable Town.
He made his league debut for the club on 8 October 2017 as 45th minute substitute in a 0–1 defeat to Portsmouth. He turned professional with Gillingham in January 2018, at the same time as Henry Woods and Ryan Huckle. Some days later, he joined Greenwich Borough on a work experience loan-deal. He was awarded Gillingham's Young Player of the Year at the conclusion of the 2017–18 season.
On 30 November 2018, Tucker joined Hastings United on loan until January 2019. He then returned to Gillingham at the end of January.
He was offered a new contract by Gillingham at the end of the 2018–19 season. He scored his first goal for Gillingham in an EFL Trophy tie against Tottenham Hotspur U21s on 12 November 2019.
Having broken into the first team under the management of Steve Evans, Tucker was the subject of a written transfer bid in December 2019 from an unnamed Championship club, which was rejected by Gillingham chairman Paul Scally. The same day Tucker signed a new contract with Gillingham. He was named as the Kent side's young Player of the Season at the conclusion of the 2019–20 season.International career
