Vic Damone recorded it in 1946 and it was subsequently included in the album "Young Vic".
The barbershop quartet PACIFICAIRES recorded it in 1971 as the title track on their album It's A Great Day The song was also sung on November 8, 1963 by Judy Garland on The Judy Garland Show and included in the album "Just for Openers".
It was also lip-synch performed by Susan Hayward portraying injured vocalist Jane Froman in the 1952 musical biopic With a Song in My Heart, with the non-singer Hayward's vocal recorded by Froman herself. In the film U Turn, it played over the end credits. In the 1999 film Blast From the Past the Perry Como version of the song played in the background when Father Calvin was checking supplies in the bunker. The song made an appearance on an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos. The song was featured in an episode of the sitcom "Malcolm in the middle", in the episode "Health scare". The song was featured in the 2009 dark comedy film "World's greatest dad", starring Robin Williams and written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait. In 2013, the song was used as backdrop in commercials for the University of Phoenix and also for Garnier. In 1992, Col. Frank Slade sings a few lines in the movie Scent Of A Woman. The song was featured in the film Pete's Dragon. In 2017, the song was used in the pilot episode of the TV show "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel". The song was used in episodes of the Netflix series “Dead to me”.
