Herrick is a town in Gregory County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 105 at the 2010 census.

History

Herrick was laid out in 1904. The town was named for a nephew of Ohio governor Myron T. Herrick who opened former Indian land to settlement. A post office called Herrick has been in operation since 1904.

As of the census of 2010, there were 105 people, 44 households, and 30 families residing in the town. The population density was. There were 58 housing units at an average density of. The racial makeup of the town was 81.9% White, 7.6% Native American, 1.0% from other races, and 9.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.0% of the population.
