. It was mapped from air
photos
taken by
Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd
, and was named by the
UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee
for William S. Henson, the
English
designer
of a
powered
model aeroplane
which led to widespread aeronautical
research and development
.
