The Haverford Fords men's soccer team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania, United States. The team is a member of the Centennial Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division III. Haverford's first men's soccer team was fielded in 1901. The team plays its home games at Walton Field on the Haverford campus. The Fords are coached by Zach Ward. The Fords have the distinction of winning the first three Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association national championships, the unofficial national championship that served as the predecessor to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship from 1905 until 1958. The 1904-05 team is considered by some to be the first organized collegiate national championship to be won by a program. The team would continue their early 20th century success before winning the ISFA titles in 1906, 1907, 1911 and 1918.
2015-2016 Season
Signature Wins: The Haverford College men's soccer team went unbeaten and untied for over two months, spanning September 19 through November 21, with a program-record 16 game winning streak. During that stretch, the Fords captured a Centennial Conference Championship on Walton Field and made their deepest run in the NCAA Tournament in program history. Over the course of season, both Sam Yarosh and Will Corkery tied the College's single season record with seven game-winning goals. Corkery became the first to break the school record when his direct kick from just outside of the 18 was the lone tally in the Fords' Centennial Conference Championship win over Dickinson. After earning a first round bye in the NCAA Tournament with a number one overall seed, Yarosh put his team up a goal in the eventual 2-1 victory against Washington and Lee. Yarosh tied Corkery's record with his seventh game-winning goal just 4:55 into game action during the third round matchup against St. Lawrence. His fellow senior, Brady Seitz, added the insurance tally later in the first half as Haverford advanced to the elite eight for the first time in program history. Awards
